Construction Group
In Ratnagiri, I was in the construction group. We were supposed to study the fine construction details, materials used and costing in the making of the house. The housetype of that region is very different than that of Mumbai. Interviewing people about their houses and how it was built in the old times and how materials have changed in the current times helped us a lot.

We chose a house which was around 90 years old. It was with respect to design fascinating with distinct ground levels and interesting roofing system.

We studied the foundation going up to the roof, trying to see and analyse every joinery. Asking locals whats the price of each and every material used for example a cheera (laterite) is approximately Rs.5000 for a gatta (250 laterite) helped us make out how much finance do we need to build a standard house in Ratnagiri.
After coming to Mumbai housing group was merged into us to drew out the fine details of a existing house by cutting it into different angles.
