Updated: Oct 18, 2022

Allied Design 2022-23

In this allied design course I was in the storytelling group. By getting a sense of space with respect to economy, settlement, occupation, history of certain patches of Mumbai we were supposed to write a crime story based in these areas.

The day one of the course started of with a 17km walk in the Kandivali village and a intimate walk in the housing of Charkop. Our second walk was situated in Ghatkopar which ended in Powai with a total distance of 22km. It was then followed by a long walk in Churchgate to Grant Road. After this we left for Nashik and visited Ar.Dhananjay Shinde's studio. Next was Reay Road to Byculla. And our last walk in Lower Parel which ended in Matunga crossing Dadar.

Story

After having a sense of the above spaces we were told to think a 'new' crime in the context of these locations. Teams were made for each location. I was in the Dadar Group. Stories were then told to be written in groups of about 6000 words with respect to the crime we thought merging it with our site. After finishing our story, and also other 5 teams ready with their crime stories made a book. The Gut Stories. Our story was named as Gut. For reading the whole story go at the end and open pdf page no.59.
